Midnight's Children Movie Review

IS IT OVER YET????

Director: Deepa Mehta

Writer: Salman Rushdie

Cast: Satya Bhabha, Shahana Goswami, Rajat Kapoor

OVERALL PRIYA RATING: 4/10

This movie is based on a famous Salman Rushdie Novel "Midnight's Children" Three generations of sex scenes have been rightly covered to live up to Salman's book!!! All else, it isn't quite a good adaptation of the book.

A story about two boys,  who was born at the stroke of midnight when India became a free land. Apparently babies born at this particular time posed several magical powers. The two boys one, Shiva, born to a rich family and the other, Saleem born to a poor wanderer, were exchanged at birth to live each others lives and destiny.

Acting was hideous and the movie lacked connection between the scenes. And some, just did not make sense!!! why did Indira Gandhi sneeze blood in Saleems dream?????? I think I barely made it fifteen minutes through the movie before I started feeling drowsy.

And next time Wee Willy Winky and his wife start singing... please do me the honors and shoot me!!

A complete waste of my time.
